Nashoba Wrestling Season Wrap-Up

The Chieftain wrestling team has been having a great year, and with their regular season done, all the fun begins at the state tournaments! Over the past weekend, members of our wrestling team battled and grappled in the MIAA All-State Tournament. Sophomore Lucas Cordio ended up placing second in the state at 145lbs, and he also qualified to compete in the New England tournament. Prior to this weekend, the wrestling team placed second in the Central Mass Sectional tournament, & fifth in the Division 2 State Championship tournament.

After coming off of an incredible record-breaking season and a state title last year, it is fair to say that the Nashoba Wrestling has had a lot to live up to this year. They managed to come out with a winning record of 16-8, which placed them fifth in the state, ninth all-state, and second in the sectionals. The Chieftains are losing some powerhouse seniors, Ronan Ball, Jake Kennedy, and James Kilgo, soon who have all have had great high school careers in the sport. Great season boys!
