College Football

This year’s College Football has Georgia at the #1 seed,  Michigan at the #2 seed, TCU at the #3 seed, and Ohio State at the #4 seed. These games will happen on New Years Eve with Michigan and TCU playing at 4 o’clock at the Fiesta Bowl in Phoenix Arizona. Georgia and Ohio State are playing in the Peach Bowl in Atlanta Georgia at 8:30.

Michigan is a 7.5 point favorite against TCU and Michigan will be playing this game without their best player, Blake Corum but, luckily for them, their backup running back is Donavan Edwards who is just as good  a player (especially considering that in the last 2 weeks he had over 150 total yards while Corum was absent). For TCU, they are led by their Heisman finalist, Max Duggin, who took second place in the Heisman. Max Duggin in the Big 12 championship carried TCU and had many big runs which kept them in the game. Sadly for them they lost to Kansas State 31-28 in overtime. In my opinion, Michigan will beat TCU 35-17. I do think the first half will be close but I think the Michigan offense is just too good for TCU defense. Also, I believe Edwards will go for 200 yards and they won’t be able to stop him. In addition, I think that JJ McCarthy will have a great day against the TCU defense and Michigan will contain Max Duggin but overall I think he will play well.

In the night cap game we have Georgia opening up as a 6.5 favorite vs Ohio State. Ohio State is led by Heisman finalist CJ Stroud who is their QB and was probably going to win the Heisman until he lost to Michigan. On the Georgia side, they are led by their defense and their QB Stetson Bennett who was also a Heisman finalist. The main focus of Georgia is their dominant defense which has multiple first round picks and the best player on the team, Jalen Carter, who is projected to go top 3 in the NFL draft. My opinion, I think Georgia’s defense will simply be too much for the Ohio State offense even though the Ohio offense is amazing Georgia just has too much star power on both sides of the ball. I think Georgia will win 42-21.
