Camo Night

On Tuesday, May 5th, the Nashoba Boys Lacrosse team took on the Algonquin Tomahawks at Nashoba Regional. The game was a face-off for our military troops, and all proceeds went to a non profit organization that builds specially adapted, mortgage free homes for the injured veterans coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Chieftains surged past the Tomahawks team, a huge league win for the Chieftains. Robert Braceland lead the scoring with five goals, Eric Demmer scored four goals and assisted four additional ones, totaling eight points. Casey Elkins scored three goals, and Robby Atwood had a tremendous game in the goal, accounting for 15 saves. Mike Czekanski also scored a goal and an assist to help propel the Chieftains over the Tomahawks.

Senior Captain, Casey Elkins had some thoughts on the game afterwards, stating “Awesome game, first time ever beating Algonquin. It was a great team effort, having a big crowd made a huge difference for us. Everyone was pumped up and we took that energy from the fans and put it on the field.”
