Boston Celtics Season Update

The last time we checked in with the Celtics they were 4-3 and had played seven games, they had total net points of +12, a biggest win streak of 2, and a biggest losing streak of 2.

As of 12/15/22, the Celtics have played 29 games, they are 22-7 and currently 1st in the Eastern Conference, and they now have a net total of +197 points. Their biggest win streak has been 8 games, and their losing streak has been two. Since the start of the season, the Celtics have only lost back-to-back games twice.

If you compare this to last year, the Celtics were 14-15 after 29 games and 10th in the Eastern Conference, and they had a net total of +22 points. Their biggest winning streak was 3 games and their biggest losing streak was 3 games. As you can see, at the start of last season, the Celtics struggled to consistently win games which is something that this year Celtics have been able to do.

We’ve seen, now that we’re later into, that the season the Celtics have continued the good form, and fans and players still enjoy and support Joe Mazzulla. The team looks great as well, especially Jayson Tatum, a front-runner for the MVP with an average of 30.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game. If the Celtics can continue to look like one of the strongest teams in the NBA, they certainly will make another NBA finals appearance.
