Nashoba Thanksgiving game

Early on Thursday, November 23rd, the Nashoba Football team traveled to Clinton to play in the annual Thanksgiving day game. Nashoba successfully defeated Clinton 28-12, at Veterans Athletic Complex.

Clinton (5-6) battled hard the whole game but could not withstand Chieftains’ junior quarterback, Sam Bolinsky, who had touchdown passes of 40 and 50 yards to senior captain Max Parrow. The Chieftains played smart using just 12 offensive plays to score their first three touchdowns and earn a 21-0 lead early in the game.

Clinton was able to put up points on the scoreboard late in the second quarter as Senior Adian Flaherty scored a 3-yard touchdown to get the Gaels on the board. By the end of the game, the Chieftains had scored another touchdown and only allowed Clinton to score 6 more points with a final score of 28-12.

At the end of the game awards were given out to the Nashoba team for a great win, as well as an offensive player award given to Sam Bowlinsky also a defensive player award given to Duncan Willgress-Pipe and for player of the game award was well deserved to Max Parrow for scoring two touchdowns in the game.

Coach Tucker talks about the game: “This is a tough rivalry game, and Clinton played real hard, and we knew that would be the case,” Nashoba coach Jamie Tucker said. “But I’m proud of our guys, and I thought we played well. We got a lot of guys in there, and that’s always fun to do on Thanksgiving.” The Chieftains are now gearing up for the State Championship at Gillette on December 2nd.

The team is excited to play in their second State Championship in two years, creating a memorable experience for all athletes. We wish them luck as they compete for the title on Saturday at 11am!
