Half Time Highlights- Super Bowl 50

111.9 million Americans tuned into the Super Bowl 50’s iconic halftime show. Coldplay headlined the spectacle with guest appearances by Beyonce and Bruno Mars.

Lead singer of Coldplay, Chris Martin, kept the event upbeat. He performed “Yellow”, “Viva La Vida”, “Adventure of a Lifetime”, and “Paradise” before Bruno Mars stepped in with his famous, “Uptown Funk”. Martin was seen bouncing around the crowds with loads of energy. The colors of the rainbow that spewed around Levi’s stadium matched Martins flamboyant outfit and stage props.

After Bruno Mars rocked the stands with “Uptown Funk”, Queen B marched in jamming to her new song, “Formation”. Both performers sported sassy black and gold ensembles. They competed for the spotlight with a friendly showdown of “Uptown Funk” and “Single Ladies”. The performers danced dueled while singing their tunes. Beyonce classically grooved with provocative and sassy dance moves, but had an unfortunate slip. No worries, she covered it gracefully.

The three performers joined together center stage and honored past halftime shows. Coldplay played a slower tune, “Clocks”, as the 3 performers swayed to the music. Videos of Bruce Springsteen and Katy Perry to Prince and U2 splashed across the stage. The end of the performance showed an aerial view of the stadium with the bleachers colored by the fans holding signs and the phrase, “Believe In Love”.
