Dunkin Donuts Delivery
Are you sick and tired of driving all the way to Dunkin Donuts just to get a cup of coffee and a donut? Well, you’re in luck, because Dunkin Donuts may start delivering. You won’t even have to get out of bed or change out of your pjs! Their delivery system hasn’t started yet, but is said to start next year. Dunkins is currently creating their own mobile app and preparing to do tests some time this year.
Of course there’s a reason why Dunkin Donuts suddenly feels the need to start a delivery business. Dunkins has a lot of competitors including its biggest enemy, Starbucks. According to CNN, Starbucks is trying out a delivery system using an app for smartphones. Food chains, including McDonald’s and Chipotle, are also working on a delivery system. Eater.com, a food lovers website, said KFC and Taco Bell are in the works of starting to deliver, too. Even Amazon is dabbling in the works of delivery. They recently enlarged their Prime Now program which can now deliver food; whether that be groceries, meals, or sweets from a bakery.
Alicia Burrows, a Nashoba Students, said, “I think it’s nice because I won’t have to go out of my way to go to Dunkin Donuts before school.”
It will take a bit of time before Dunkin Donuts starts up their delivery business, but from the sound of it, it will be great; and many other food chains seem to be following the same path. It may not be the best thing for health, but who can resist a chai latte and a chocolate glazed donut without standing in line?
