“In your life, you’ll do things greater than dating a boy on the football team,” well apparently not. The rumors are true. Pop star Taylor Swift is dating Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end, Travis Kelce. Maybe it’s an actual love story. Who knows, I guess we’ll find out.

According to CNN, despite weeks of speculation regarding their relationship, the two stars have not publicly confirmed their romance. The first move was made by Kelce, as he attempted to swoon Swift with a friendship bracelet at one of her concerts. This failed effort was followed by an invitation to watch Kelce hit the turf at Arrowhead Stadium. On his podcast, New Heights, Kelce playfully welcomed the idea of Swift spectating his next game.

Kelce’s love life has also sparked interest in his teammates, such as quarterback Patrick Mahomes. According to ESPN, Mahomes expressed the pressure felt during Sunday’s game to get a winning pass to Kelce.

So far this season, the Chiefs have a 2 and 0 record. Courtesy of ESPN stats, Mahomes has achieved 803 passing yards, and Kelce has scored 2 touchdown passes. Here’s hoping that Kelce and the team can keep up the good work for any future Swiftie visits.

As for Taylor’s recent developments, she’s been trekking across America on her much-awaited Eras Tour. The Eras Tour is a masterpiece of a performance, with songs from each of her coveted albums. Though tickets have gotten pricey at most of these events, those who get the opportunity to go are in for a spectacular experience. 

In the near future, Swift has a lot to look forward to. According to Taylor’s website, her film version of the Eras Tour will be released to theaters across the country on October 13, allowing everyone to take part in this musical time machine. Swifties are also holding out for October 27, as Taylors’ Version of 1989 will be released. The album, named after her birth year, is a favorite in the eyes of many fans, containing pop favorites such as, Shake It Off, Blank Space, and Style. International fans can also get excited for the commencement of her world tour, which begins this November in Argentina. Will Kelce be taking some time off to explore the world with his new girlfriend? I guess we’ll have to keep an eye out.

During the game, Swift observed the field alongside Donna, Kelce’s mom. Dressed up in her best red and white, it’s easy to guess who she was rooting for. Following the 41-10 win, Kelce was spotted exiting the stadium by Swifts’ side, making no time for a post-game interview.

For now, we can only speculate where this romance will go, but maybe there are more breakup songs on the horizon. For both of their sakes, let’s hope that all touchdown passes are received, and all performances are flawless.
