Your New Fall Bucket List!
As the trees begin to change colors and apple orchard traffic fills the streets, you’re probably wondering, what are some ways to get into the fall spirit? Well I have rounded up some of my favorite ways to feel the fall vibes this season!
- Apple Picking – A top tier way to get into the season is apple picking. I always go apple picking towards the end of September. There are multiple orchards around the district so, throw on a mask, choose your favorite spot, and head over! Some of my favorite spots are Honey Pot in Stow, Shelburne Farms in Stow, and Bolton Spring Farms. My favorite way to use the apples is either for different breakfast recipes or for my famous apple crisp. Seriously, it is amazing.
- Try a New Fall Recipe – Whether it’s a dinner for your family, or just a treat for yourself, cooking or baking can always put you in a seasonal mood. My favorite fall recipe is pumpkin roll, which you can find the recipe for here. Not a cream cheese fan? Try this recipe for delicious fall chili.
- Watch a Halloween Movie – An easy and inexpensive way to fit right in with the new weather and upcoming holiday is to find a favorite movie or halloween themed episode of a show on Netflix, Youtube, or Amazon Prime! My favorites are Beetlejuice, Hocus Pocus, and the halloween episode of “The Office.”
- Get Fall Room Decorations – I always like to decorate my room and the kitchen in my house with fall decorations. You can find great ones at the Dollar Store, Target, and even CVS! If you have younger siblings you can plan a craft day and use recycled materials to make ghosts, spiders, and pumpkins- the perfect break from online learning!
- Pumpkin Carving or Painting – This is easily one of my favorite fall activities! I usually do this one in October but why not do it early this year? Carving can be super fun because I like to bake the pumpkin seeds with sea salt and butter, but painting can also be great because it’s less of a mess!
