Tucked away in the corner of a small plaza, Julie’s Place offers a variety of comfort foods. From burgers and fries to seafood, Julie’s Place in essential quaint New England style diner.
When opening the door to the restaurant, you are greeted with a warm welcome and smiling faces. It was the peak of the lunch rush and there was a shortage of chairs and tables. Since it is a walk-in-and-seat-yourself dinner, I found a little booth with a view of the kitchen.
Our server came by and was very friendly, striking up a conversation about miscellaneous topics. The menu is anything but limited. They have many different soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, seafood, and just about any other type of comfort food you could imagine.
For starters, I decided to order the mozzarella sticks. They came out golden and hot, with steaming and stringy cheese. They were crunchy on the outside and soft and hot on the inside, able to calm my hunger and still leave room for the main course.
For the main meal, I decided to get the classic burger basket with fries. The order was delivered promptly. Even in a bustling lunch rush they still managed to provide all the correct condiments and maintain the fantastic presentation.
The burger was complemented by the lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles. The pickles provided a nice crunch to the juicy burger, which was still hot from the grill. The fluffy brioche bun tasted like it was fresh from the local bakery. The fries went quickly as they were lightly salted and melted in my mouth.
Julie’s Place is a quaint small hometown diner with food from all spectrum of your taste buds. The food is beyond amazing and the service makes you feel right at home. Make sure that next time you are hungry in Acton to stop at 208 Main Street known as Julie’s Place.
