Bolton Public Library’s Organic Gardening Talk
Come over to the Bolton Public Library for an Organic Gardening Presentation on April 10th from 7:00 to 8:30! Farm manager at the non-profit Gaining Ground Farm, Doug Walcik, comes to Bolton to show the residents in the district how to organically farm. This demonstration exemplifies advanced organic techniques as well as the farm’s mission to supply needy families with the organic foods that they need. Their strategy originates from their efforts to raise large sums of produce in an efficient and healthy way!
Not only will the presentation be interesting to the surrounding rural community, but the techniques that will be taught are also applicable to home vegetable and flower gardens! Wolcik has been a manager at Gaining Ground for the past five years, under his management and with the help of an abundance of many employees, 80,000 pounds of vegetables were grown and donated to hunger relief organizations local to Lowell, Boston, and the Boston Metrowest Area.
This event is sponsored by Bolton Local, and can be found in the Program Room at the Bolton Public Library.
