Nashoba Varsity Hockey- Tough Game
The boys varsity hockey team were on a pretty good streak as of late; however, on Wednesday the 24th that streak came to an end. The boys played a tough Lunenburg team at the Wallace Civic Center in Fitchburg. They played hard, but unfortunately came up short with a final score of 3-1. After a 5 game streak without a loss, the boys are now 5-7-2.
After the first period the boys were down by 2, but they came back in the second with one goal scored by number 13, Dan Lamanski, a regular scoring contributor to the team. Lunenburg answered that goal shortly after. The third period was scoreless with strong performances by both the Lunenburg and Nashoba goalies. Nashoba ended the game with 27 shots on net and with 29 against.
Their next game is on Saturday at North Star Rink, located in Westborough. They will playing Westborough High School again who have a record of 5-5-2 . Go out and support the boys as they take on the Rangers at 8:00pm.
