Boy’s Varsity Hockey- On a Roll

The boy’s hockey team played a great game on Saturday against Worcester at the Buffalo Ice Rink. Nashoba ended both the first and the second periods down and fought hard to turn the game around. At the end of the first period Worcester found themselves on top with a score of 1-0 and at the second with a score of 3-1. This deficit did not silence the Nashoba team as the rallied back and won this exciting game with a final score of 5-3.

Sophomore, Robbie Carter, had his first day back on the ice and gave Nashoba not one, but two goals. Senior Captain Ryan LeBlanc, also scored two goals and Sophomore Bobby Gibbons helped Nashoba bring home a win with a lone goal.

The boys have started to turn their season around. Junior, Eli Zeh commented in an interview about the progression of his team over the season. “Well, we’ve definitely improved a lot, both strategy and skill wise. We’ve had a few roster changes over the course of the season, but overall we’ve definitely come together as a team.”

Their next game is at the New England Sports Center in Marlboro on Monday the 22nd. They are playing Algonquin; go out and support the boys at 4:00pm.
