Nashoba Hockey – Takes Home Another Win

The boys’ varsity hockey team took home another win Wednesday night against the Groton-Dunstable Crusaders. The final score of the game was 4-2, with a score of 0-0 after the first period and 3-1 after the second. The Nashoba hockey team now improves their record to  4-6-1, with 3 of their wins over the last 10 days. The team also won this past Monday night by shutting out Marlboro 4-0.

The boys played a great game Wednesday night, one that kept the audience on the edge of their seats. There were many strong performances and two players, one from Nashoba and one from Groton, had to be taken off the ice due to game related injuries.

Freshman and # 13, Danny Lemanski, had a great game by putting Nashoba on top by scoring the first two goals unanswered. Number 7,  and senior captain, Andrew Kerble, scored the third goal for Nashoba. Kerble has been a strong contributor to the team with a hat trick in a recent game.  Number 19, senior captain, Ryan LeBlanc, scored the final goal on an empty net with a minute left in the game.

Senior defensemen captain, Will Andronico, had a lot to say about his team after the game. “We played really well today. It was a good game against a good team. We are starting to make a solid comeback and tonight was another solid step toward that”.

The boys next game in on Saturday at 5:30 pm. They will be playing Worcester at the Buffalo Ice Rink in Worcester, Ma.

Go out and root on the boys on as they fight to start a winning streak and continue to improve their record.
