Behind the Scenes: “Noises Off”
The Nashoba Drama program is performing Noises Off, a comedy by Michael Frayn. The show will have it’s opening night Friday, November 17th at 7:30 pm. The excitement will continue Saturday night at 7:30 pm and Sunday afternoon at 2 pm. Tickets are $10 for students and seniors, while adults must pay $14.
Noises Off is a 1982 comedy, which has also been made into a movie. This show is about producing another play, similar to the plot of last year’s musical, Kiss Me Kate – another play within a play. The show begins with the actors only hours away from opening night. It is midnight and the cast is in final rehearsal, still failing to get the lines and entrances correct. The director, Lloyd Dallas, gets frustrated with the cast and loses his temper. By the end of the first first act, it is almost showtime. The acts continue, getting increasingly worse as the show goes on.
Come see Noises Off this weekend to support Nashoba Drama and see a fantastic play!
