Where Do You Want To Travel?

It’s hard to comprehend the number of different places on this planet. Many people are too nervous to travel the world, so they’ll stay near their hometown instead. Unfortunately, traveling can be very expensive, so some people can’t afford to go globetrotting on a whim. Travelling is an amazing experience because a person can see what happens in other countries and learn about other cultures. When someone travels to a different country and comes back to their home, they often say the experience changed them. While I haven’t been to other countries and the farthest I’ve gone from home is Florida, my sister has traveled to Costa Rica, Scotland, England, and Ireland. She came home and said that it changed her thoughts about the world.
Someday I would love to travel around Europe and meet interesting people. People need to step out of their comfort zone and try new and exciting things. I asked some students at Nashoba where they want to travel to and their responses were varied. Meagan McMaster, a senior, said, “I would like to travel to a tropical climate so I can swim in very clear waters and see the coral reefs. Another place I would like to go is Ireland so I can kiss the ancient Blarney Stone.” Another senior, Sidney Lowe, stated, “I would like to travel to Greece.  It’s really bad right now, so I would go later because I think it’s really pretty.” Finally, Kate Zeliff, said, “I want to go to the Caribbean Islands and live on a boat for a month or two because I like the ocean and I like the warm weather.”

The world is full of interesting, exotic places just waiting to be visited and admired. No matter where a person is interested in travelling to, from Alaska to Australia, it will undoubtedly be an amazing experience.
